January 2022 - May 2025
Joined a team of engineers as the UI/UX subject-matter expert to collaborate on the redesign of Cigna’s annual Wellness Challenge platforms. This role involved conducting user interviews and creating user-centered designs for both desktop and mobile interfaces. The redesigned platforms successfully attracted over 3,000 new users and led to a remarkable dedication of over 1+ million hours toward improving their physical and mental health.

[Technology Early Career Development Program - Rotation #3]
Pursued a rotation with a design team to deeply immerse myself in the UX field, assuming project responsibilities just two months into the role. Conducted competitive analyses, performed user interviews, and developed wireframes and prototypes for both internal and external products, always prioritizing user needs and usability.

Contributed to data sourcing and organization for internal dashboards that monitored Cigna’s contracts with third-party vendors, primarily to assess potential data exposure in the event of a breach. Midway through the rotation, my growing interest in UI/UX led me to transition into a UI designer role, where I created wireframes and mockups to enhance the clarity and usability of these dashboards, improving their effectiveness for security and compliance teams.

Collaborated with three other interns to re-strategize the Dunbar Association's database management by migrating data to a new software platform and restructuring the database for improved access to donor and customer relationship information. This optimization facilitated the efficient creation of mailing lists and fund proposal requests. Additionally, I led the rebranding of their website by transferring content to the WIX platform, enhancing site navigation, and expanding the organization's reach through extensive SEO research.

I got my research experience from
Competitive Science Research Program
2015 - 2018
I participated in a three-year college-level research program studying the correlations between stress and breast cancer. I was inspired by my mother’s experience with breast cancer, fighting it on her own with two young children and being in a foreign country. The research I’ve conducted was presented to medical specialists, including oncologists, at multiple high school research competitions.
